Why is vibration a problem with Universal Tow Mirrors?

Universal mirrors are a great way of adding an extra measure of safety and peace of mind to just about any towing situation. They're easy to install, easy to remove and offer tremendous value when compared to other types of temporary mirrors.

Nevertheless, one of the biggest complaints that many drivers have involves vibration. Excessive vibration not only affects rearward visibility, but it can also cause the mirror mount to work itself loose, causing even more vibration. Without the right mounting hardware, it can even dislodge the mirror entirely.

Even on the smoothest of roads, wind buffeting at highway speeds often causes universal mirrors to wobble and vibrate, even if they're firmly attached to your vehicle. Your vehicle’s own vibrations can "travel" and further amplify the universal mirror’s vibrations.

Avoiding Shaky Situations

Keeping a constant eye on your universal mirror to ensure it doesn’t fall off during your first "test run" can be challenging and ultimately frustrating. We've worked hard to bring you a line of high-quality universal mirrors, that way you won’t have to worry about the vibration driving you nuts!

Our universal mirrors are made with high-performance and high-quality components and are easy to install. Not only can these mirrors stand up to the rigors of long-term operation, but there are also plenty of mounting options to choose from. We use stress-tested mounting hardware that not only allows for an excellent fit each time, but also ensures your universal mirror will survive its first journey and countless others afterward.

Although the hardware is designed to do much of the work when it comes to reducing vibration, proper installation is just as important. For the best results, it’s always a good idea to follow your instruction manual or watch an installation video for help.
